This week, the creators of 2018’s Ashen, A44 Games, announced a new open-world RPG, Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn. The game also made an appearance today during [email protected], just so you wouldn’t forget. Like Ashen, Flintlock is a third-person RPG with brutal combat. The game is all about fighting off undead hordes, and you’ll do so with a blend of magic and gunpowder. My favorite kind of blend.

Either way, it sounds intriguing. According to the development team, Flintlock stars Nor Vanek, “a member of the coalition army.” She’s joined by Enki, a mysterious being with magical abilities. Together, they fight undead creatures in a “personal vendetta against the gods.” It sounds hardcore.
Unlike Ashen, Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn has been announced for Steam, as opposed to being a temporary Epic Games exclusive. The game will arrive later this year for PC via EGS and Steam. And it’s a day one launch game for Xbox Game Pass. I’m not sure yet if that means it’ll be on PC Game Pass as well, but the chances are certainly high.
