Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass subscription service has been on a roll for the past couple of years, with new games constantly added to the service, including critically-acclaimed titles and day one releases. But while Xbox Game Pass is always adding new games for subscribers to try, there are many times when games are removed from the Game Pass library as well. Microsoft usually removes a batch of Game Pass games on the 15th of every month, and August 15 is no exception to that rule.
After today, Xbox Game Pass subscribers will be losing access to five specific games. Boyfriend Dungeon, Curse of the Dead Gods, Library of Ruina, Starmancer, and Train Sim World 2 are all being removed from Xbox Game Pass. Most of the games are available to play through the cloud, Xbox consoles, and PC, except for Starmancer, which is only available to play through PC Game Pass. Access to PC Game Pass is one of the perks of being an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscriber, so some fans may have access to it without necessarily realizing it.
Xbox Game Pass Could Be Losing Major Sports Game This Month
In any case, August 15 is the last day that Game Pass subscribers can play Boyfriend Dungeon, Curse of the Dead Gods, Library of Ruina, Starmancer, and Train Sim World 2 before they're removed. There's still some time to try the games out for free and determine if one wants to keep them for their digital library. Game Pass games are available at a 20% discount while they're still on the service, so anyone interested in these titles should try to buy them before the discount goes away.
It's always a bummer when games are removed from the Xbox Game Pass lineup, but it's not all doom and gloom. Microsoft plans to add even more games to the Xbox Game Pass
