Xbox engineering lead Eden Marie has said that the Xbox One's Snap feature isn't likely to come back, even though the company's engineers miss it.
When Microsoft revealed the Xbox One, one of its most unique features was the Snap functionality, which would let users 'snap' TV, movies, or other apps in the corner of their screen while playing games to be able to do both at once. As reported by Pure Xbox, Eden Marie, Xbox's engineering lead, responded to a comment on Twitter asking about whether Snap could possibly come back. The comment said, "Eden! If possible please to bring the snap feature back would be amazing it’s a feature I and most of the community miss".
In response, Marie simply said, "While we all miss snap, I don't think it's coming back". Considering that's coming from Xbox's engineering lead, that's about as concrete as it gets. It also seems unlikely that Xbox would look to bringing back old features when it could, and likely is, looking ahead to what's next.
