Warcraft 3: Reforged did not have the best of first impressions. Due to multiple bugs and a less-than-stellar set of critical reviews, many found the remaster of Warcraft 3 to be more of a downgrade of the original game than anything else. Some fans sought out mods to better their experience of Warcraft 3: Reforged, while others hoped that Blizzard would attempt to improve the game and not leave it as it was. Considering the amount of promises Blizzard failed to keep around Warcraft 3: Reforged, many fans of the original game have grown frustrated with its remake.
This has especially become the case due to Warcraft 3: Reforged's lack of updates. While World of Warcraft fans get to look forward to a new expansion, and Diablo Immortal has recently revealed its release date, fans of Warcraft 3: Reforged haven't seen any news on the game for over a year. April 2021 marks the last time Warcraft 3: Reforged was given an update, which led some fans to question when a new one would be coming.

Some fans in particular asked Blizzard President Mike Ybarra when Warcraft 3: Reforged could see another update. In response to a fan, Ybarra said that players will be hearing from the Warcraft 3: Reforged team soon before following up by saying that there will be news in June. With June quickly approaching at the time of writing, fans won't have to wait long to finally get some new details on Warcraft 3: Reforged.
