With the closure of the Xbox 360 digital storefront coming on 29th July 2024, Microsoft has announced one last sale for the company’s most successful console.
From 29th July the Xbox 360 store will go offline, cutting the generation-before-last off from purchasing new games, DLC and any other entertainment content. However, legacy Xbox 360 games available through the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S store – namely those as part of the backward compatibility programme – will still be available. Additionally, any previously purchases digital content will still be available to redownload for the foreseeable future.
The first batch of discounts is available now, with 66 games that include games big and small – Rise of the Tomb Raider, Far Cry 4, Murdered: Soul Suspect, to name but a few – and the list will be updated on 18th June and 16th July. All price reductions will remain in place until the 360 store closes on 29th July.
