2K has a lot riding on WWE 2K22, with the previous entry in the series, WWE 2K20, receiving such backlash from fans that it led to 2K canceling the next title and spending over two years developing WWE 2K22. So far, the gameplay trailers and announcements that have been made indicate that it has the potential to pay off, but only time will tell.
WWE 2K22 is packed full of features including the usual Universe mode and the 2K Showcase, as well as the return of the MyGM Mode which allows players to take control and manage their own brand in WWE, and the all-new MyRise mode which will act as a story mode and features unique male and female storylines for the first time ever.

All of these features would mean nothing without a roster of WWE Superstars and Legends to play as, and 2K has made sure that the roster is stacked, with it including many fan-favorite Legends including Macho Man Randy Savage, Chyna, Eddie Guererro, and five members of the NWO, Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Sean Waltman, and Eric Bischoff.
Over recent weeks 2K has been revealing many of the WWE Superstars and Legends that will be included in WWE 2K22, including rapper turned rock star Machine Gun Kelly who has chosen the soundtrack for the game. Recently, a brand-new trailer has been released that focuses on some top WWE Superstars from the Raw brand, as well as revealing their ratings.
