While it’s technically possible to play Grand Theft Auto Online without earning the ire of the Los Santos Police Department, most players will end up in their crosshairs at some point. But while that’s an expected part of gameplay, things can get a little complicated when other players take the role of the boys in blue, as streamer xQc well knows.
Twitch streamer and former esports player Felix 'xQc' Lengyelrecently condemned the state of Grand Theft Auto Online’s NoPixel roleplaying server. He described it as “literal shambles” and blamed cop players for the server’s decline.
Weird GTA Online Bug Turns Los Santos into a Ghost Town
xQc hasn’t streamed GTA Online roleplay in over a week and explained why during a recent stream. “The server is in literal shambles,” said the streamer. “Literal shambles. GTA RP is literally degrading faster than I’ve ever seen before. Everybody is malding.” He blames the problem on the players filling the role of the LSPD. According to xQc, the cop role players are breaking the rules to take down criminals, which prevents other players from having fun.
The streamer did not specify which rules the LSPD players were breaking, but this isn’t the first time xQc’s criticized the GTA RP server harshly. In September, he slammed a police player for breaking RP by moving around erratically during an arrest attempt. In the same incident, another continued to call for backup and relay tactical information after being killed in the ensuing shootout. Before that, back in August, he complained on stream that many of the cop players were “burnt out” and more interested in winning than roleplaying correctly.
