According to Live Hindustan, a youth identified as Saurav Kumar hailing from Thakuri village of Charpokhari block in Bhojpur, Bihar was awarded Rs. 1 crore for forming a Dream 11 fantasy cricket team during the recently concluded T20 match between India and Australia. Although Australia won the match comfortably, it turned out to be life-changing for Saurav Kumar as he was informed through the app that he had won a jackpot. Kumar told Live Hindustan that he had already received his prize money of Rs. 70 lakh after tax deductions. He has become a local superstar as a direct result of him winning this huge prize money.
Saurav Kumar had joined Dream 11 in 2019 during which period he had won and lost money equally. He told Live Hindustan that he is currently pursuing graduation and aspires to becoming a cricketer.
Dream11 hosts games across many different sports. To participate, you have to pick a team within a budget of 100 credits who you think will score the most points for the selected match. Fantasy Points are earned by real-life players on the basis of their performances in a match.
