A few days ago, WhatsApp announced its vision while introducing new features such as Emoji reactions, Admin access to delete problematic messages, bigger file sharing, and up to 32 participants on a single audio call, and the much-awaited Community feature finally. Now, there is something more and it has to do with WhatsApp privacy issues, something that has worried so many of its users for such a long time!
The WhatsApp updates and beta trackers, WaBetaInfo confirmed that users will be able to hide the WhatsApp 'last seen' status from a particular contact. Right now, in order to hide the status, users have to do it for everyone. WhatsApp users will now be able to limit the ‘Last Seen’ function too from particular contacts. On the same grounds, WhatsApp is also testing the ability to restrict Profile Photo viewing option and ‘About’ section to limited contacts only.
WaBetaInfo reported that if you open your WhatsApp Settings and move to Privacy settings in Account, there you will find Last Seen, Profile Photo, and About sections. Soon, you will see a new option known as “My Contacts Except…”. According to the WhatsApp tracker, this option will let you exclude some people from seeing your information on WhatsApp.
