World of Warcraft has revealed the schedule for Dragonflight'sfirst raid tier and its accompanying Mythic Season 1 with changes that promise to shake up the experience for the better. With Dragonflight's release date firmly set in stone, players can expect to have their first foray into the next expansion content on October 25.
The raids in World of Warcraft have been an undying pillar of its endgame, but Mythic dungeons have slowly crept into the spotlight over the years, offering an alternative way to pursue challenging content. Introduced initially in Mists of Pandaria as Challenge Mode dungeons, Mythic Plus has since evolved into a well-oiled machine, boasting official esports tournaments and a legitimate way to obtain some of the best loot in the game.

Dragonflight is about to change Mythic dungeons even further when Mythic Season 1 starts on December 12 and the first raid of the expansion, Vault of the Incarnates, opens its doors to the players. Perhaps the biggest change to the schedule is that December 12 will see all three raid difficulties open for the new raid simultaneously, forgoing the tradition of Mythic and Raid Finder opening a week later. The Raid Finder version of the raid will unlock across three separate wings at a staggered pace, opening on December 19, January 2, and January 16.
Cross-faction Mythic raiding will be available to groups from the get-go, but for the sake of fairness, Blizzard has stated that Hall of Fame entries will only be eligible if their group is comprised out of a faction majority (at least 16 out of 20 players).
