There's no shortage of MMOs in the year 2022, with just about every big IP throwing their hat in the ring. From Star Wars: The Old Republic, toStar Trek Online, the modern MMO market is flooded with big names, but there's one title that's managed to stand its ground, remaining at the very top of the mountain since the very dawn of the genre: World of Warcraft.
Despite releasing nearly two decades ago, World of Warcraft is still the most played MMO on the planet, with an estimated 120 million active players at the time of writing. On any given day, World of Warcraft's servers are estimated to hold over one million players concurrently, which is no small feat. One of the keys to World of Warcraft's success has been a consistent stream of major expansions that release every two years or so, keeping a constant flow of new content coming in for veteran players. World of Warcraft is set to receive its next expansion, titled Dragonflight, in December of this year, and it's bringing a whole host of new mechanics, including the new Crafting Orders system.

Along with a slew of other tweaks and changes, World of Warcraft's Dragonflight expansion is going to be changing up the game's Profession system quite a bit. Crafting Specializations, which allow players to craft specific, higher-quality gear, is making a comeback, and a plethora of new Profession Gear, specifically designed to aid the player during their crafting, are heading to the game. A brand-new Profession hub is opening up in Valdrakken in the Dragon Isles, where some Crafting Tables will appear, and a new Item Quality feature will be introduced.
