Wordle has clearly proven its staying power throughout 2022 with many players making it a part of their morning routine. Despite the lessening of social media posts, it seems puzzle solvers still can't get enough of this one-a-day word guessing game. The May 6th answer may not be too difficult for most, but there is a chance of getting stuck in a common letters loop that could drain the player's guesses quite quickly. One way to combat this problem is by turning on Wordle's Hard Mode.

By activating the Hard Mode setting players will no longer be able to use letters that have previously been proven incorrect. This forces the player to not waste guesses just to get an extra letter or two. Letters proven correct must also be placed in their correct spot in subsequent answers, and incorrectly placed letters must follow into the next guess. Some players like to use a specific combination of words to start their Wordle journey, but that takes up two attempts right off the bat and may not help out in the long run. Despite the name, Hard Mode can be found in the setting menu at the upper right-hand corner of the screen and could make it easier for players since it requires a little more critical thinking the get to the correct answer.
