The April 12th Wordle word could cause trouble for some players today with its uncommon placement of a fairly common letter. For some, Wordle has become a comfortable staple in their morning routine, for others it has become a streak of wins that must be upheld. Tuesday's word isn't necessarily a difficult one and is used quite often, but it is certainly a word that could be considered a streak-breaker.

The game of Wordle is played on a 5x6 grid of boxes. Each day a new five-letter word is randomly chosen and it's the player's job to solve it within the six chances given. Beginning with any word players will receive hints in the form of colors boxes. If a box is colored green, the letter is correct and in the correct spot. If the box is yellow it's a correct letter in the wrong spot and finally, if the box is grey, the letter does not belong in the word at all. Using these hints players must deduce the correct answer before running out of chances to guess.

Today's Wordle answer is ROYAL.
Royal means having the status of a king or queen or a member of their family. Our starting Wordle word for today was IRATE which provided two incorrectly placed letters with 'R' and 'A'. We followed it up with RACKS, this gave us the correct placement for the 'R' and another incorrect location for 'A'. Feeling a bit stumped we tried ROUGH, knowing this would be incorrect but looking for another vowel, this gave up the correct placement for 'O' and a few more incorrect letters.
