In a brand new cover from superstar artist Russell Dauterman, Wolverine springs into action with her secret weapon taking center stage, as her foot claws are ready to cause some damage. Laura Kinney has taken after her father, Wolverine, as her deadly claws are among the most dangerous weapons on the X-Men. However, Wolverine's foot claws are rarely highlighted as much as those coming from her knuckles.
A secret organization known as the Facility created Laura Kinney to create superweapons adapting the abandoned Weapon X program and Logan Howlett's DNA. As a child, X-23 had her bones coated in Adamantium like Wolverine's and was deployed as a weapon for the organization, using scents to turn her into an instant killer. Unfortunately, Laura had no control over her actions. Eventually, Kinney would escape and develop into her own hero, working alongside the X-Men. Eventually taking on the legacy role as Wolverine, Kinney would join the primary X-Men team, where she's currently one of the core members. X-23 appeared in live-action in Logan, where Dafne Keen portrayed her.

On his Twitter page, artist Russell Dauterman (X-Men: Hellfire Gala) shared his latest Wolverine-starring variant cover. The image, colored by Matthew Wilson, features Laura Kinney in action, as she wears her costume while striking a badass pose. The cover also features Wolverine's unsheathed adamantium claws, including her foot claws, popped and ready to cause some damage. The trading card variant will appear on the cover of X-Men #8.
