Game*Spark Publishing and developer 59studio will release a Switch version of Wizardry: The Five Ordeals on January 30, 2025, the companies announced. It will be playable at Tokyo Game Show 2024, which will run from September 26 to 29 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan.
In Japan, the Switch version will be priced at 3,980 yen for the digital edition, 4,980 yen for the physical edition, and 9,980 yen for the Collector’s Edition. The latter includes a download code for the downloadable content scenario “The Absence of Misericordia,” a one-disc original soundtrack CD for “The Five Ordeals” and “The Absence of Misericordia,” an acrylic stand, and a set of “The Five Ordeals” monster cards.
The Switch version includes the default scenario “The Price of Deception,” as well as the five scenarios “Traveler’s Property,” “Children of the King Selene,” “The Devoid of Apotheosis,” “The Pickled Man of Galvan,” and “The Wheels of Flame,” each of which can be played from anywhere between 10 to many dozens of hours. Support for user-created “User Scenarios” will also be added in a day one update.
The downloadable content scenarios “Prisoners of the Battles” and “The Absence of Misericordia” will be available at launch for 2,480 yen and 1,480 yen, respectively.
Wizardry: The Five Ordeals is currently available for PC via Steam.
