Windows 11 Build 25151 is here with a long list of bug fixes including File Explorer tabs, Start menu, and more. Along with that, it brings a new hidden feature - ‘Open Dialog’. It is actually the redesigned version of Open Dialogue feature for apps and files, which was teased for the first time earlier this year, but later it was removed from the builds, Windows Latest reports. Windows 11 Build 25151 is now available for all the testers in the Development Channel.
So, what is this new hidden feature that Windows 11 Build 25151 brings our attention to? Basically, Open Dialogue appears when you right-click on any file in an attempt to open it while using a particular app. Does it sound familiar? Well, the users who have used Wndows 8 must have tried this feature, and it has been updated with Windows 11 design principles.
The Windows Latest report has shared two screenshots, which showcased the new feature. It suggests that the upcoming dialog box will appear in both light and dark themes on Windows 11. In case your laptop's theme is set to dark, then the 'Open with' dialogue box will automatically appear in dark. In a similar vein, it will appear in light while changing the Windows 11 theme settings itself. Microsoft has also simplified the experience with the single-click update for your default app.
You should note that this feature isn’t available for everyone. Only selective users will be able to use this new hidden feature of Windows 11 initially. The report mentions that it is not even clear whether the feature will be available for Windows 11 in the second half of 2022, but there is a possibility that Microsoft will release the Open Dialogue box feature in a future update.
