The new monster-hunting action adventure from Electronic Arts and Omega Force, Wild Hearts, seems to be running poorly on Microsoft's Xbox Series X and S consoles, according to some of the game's early adopters. While seeing Series S consoles struggle with cutting-edge titles isn't necessarily out of the ordinary, this game's performance issues are seemingly worse than most would've anticipated.
A veritable Monster Hunter competitor, Wild Hearts was announced out of the blue as the first major collaboration between EA and Koei Tecmo, with Omega Force heading its development. Omega Force is best known for its Dynasty Warriors, Toukiden, and Persona 5 Strikers releases, as well as a wealth of licensed Warriors-themed entries, such as Hyrule Warriors and Fire Emblem Warriors

While Wild Hearts was planned for last-gen consoles during the initial stages of its development, it would seem that it was a good idea to forego them entirely after all. Xbox Series S gamers have begun reporting on the game's apparently shoddy performance and poor visuals already. Not only are graphical assets bad enough that people wonder if something is wrong with the game, but Series S is also only able to run Wild Heart at 30 FPS, with the resolution jumping from 900p to 1080p, depending on the scene. In other words, something is amiss.
It's worth pointing out that the general reception to the game appears to be mostly positive, with players praising Wild Hearts' building features and traversal options.
