Reviews for Top Gun: Maverick are highly positive so far, earning the movie a huge 96 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, which stands in contrast to a much lower score from the original Top Gun. While the original Top Gun is an iconic '80s movie staple for many, it wasn't actually that well-reviewed, making Top Gun: Maverick's high score stand out even more.
