Recently, Call of Duty: Warzone’s planes were temporarily pulled from the game, and many gamers were quick to tell Raven Software that it should not add them back in. Now, the fan base has turned its attention to UAVs.
The UAVs in Call of Duty: Warzone work just like they do in multiplayer, pinging the surrounding area and showing red dots where enemies are located. Given how battle royales are built around unexpected fights and careful strategies, though, many feel like the mechanic is ruining the experience. As such, gamers have been quick to push for the killstreak to be taken out of Buy Stations.

A post from Reddit user and Call of Duty: Warzone player maxpowerphd highlights their best experience with the game, and according to them, it was the era where UAVs were not present in Vanguard Royale’s Buy Stations. Plenty have praised Vanguard Royale for the focus on World War 2-era gear, as it eliminated many of the items from Modern Warfare and Black Ops Cold War that some deemed overpowered. However, UAVs have come and gone from the mode’s Buy Stations as Raven worked to figure out a good balance.
According to this Reddit user, the 1,100 people that upvoted the post, and many of the commenters, Caldera simply plays better when UAVs are less common. While nobody is asking for the mechanic to be removed entirely, players would prefer if UAVs were only accessible as Contract rewards. This way, those in the match have to go out of their way to earn them instead of just gathering money, meaning that they are seen less often.
