Caution: Spoilers Ahead for Severance Season 1
One of the most intriguing characters in Severance season 1's finale is Helena's father, an heir to the Eagan dynasty that runs the cult-like Lumon corporation. While Helena's father only appears in a brief scene, he makes a strong impression and could be a major figure in Severance season 2. The actor portraying James Eagan is not a household name, but has a strong resume and helps to make the Lumon CEO an eerie and unsettling presence.
James Eagan first appears in «In Perpetuity» but makes a bigger impression during the Severance season finale «The We We Are» when he encounters his daughter Helena in the bathroom, not knowing that she is currently possessed by her «innie» work self. While praising Helena, he says that she is serving as an example to the world in normalizing the mind-splitting severance technology. The scene further demonstrates that Lumon's interest in severance goes beyond productivity and retaining company secrets and is part of a broader plan or ideology, with James saying that soon everyone will be severed.

James is played by Australian actor Michael Siberry. Siberry has previously appeared in a number of TV shows and movies, including portraying Albert Thompson in Jessica Jones and Albert Rasmussen in House of Cards, as well as a small role in Birdman. However, he is best known as a stage actor, having performed for the Royal Shakespeare Company and several successful Broadway productions. Siberry brings a lot of acting experience to the role but may not be as recognizable to viewers as other members of the Severance cast such as John Turturro and Patricia Arquette.
