Warning: Spoilers for Ms. Marvel episode 2
As it turns out, the mother of Kamala’s love interest in Ms. Marvel is somehow connected to her superhero journey. Shortly after making casual conversation with Kamala and discussing his mother, Kamran burst onto the scene in a surprising way when Kamala was trying to escape Damage Control agents. When Kamran introduced his mother, Namja, at the end of Ms. Marvel episode 2, it became apparent that both have some sort of interest in Kamala’s mysterious bangle.

What she does know, though, is that it was once worn by Aisha, her great-grandmother and a person accused of bringing “shame” to Kamala’s family. Now that Kamala has it, she’s found herself in the crosshairs of Damage Control, who have become aware of her new cosmic powers. Her situation received yet another complication when Nimra Bucha’s Namja was revealed to be the woman she’s been seeing in her visions. For now, it remains to be seen if the MCU’s Ms. Marvel should count Namja and Kamran as allies or enemies.
