The Biden administration on Wednesday launched a new "one-stop shop" COVID website for vaccines, tests, treatments, masks, and the latest coronavirus information.
The official government online destination aims to "help all people in the United States gain even better access to lifesaving tools," according to a White House press release.
Visit COVID.gov to access a new Test-to-Treat locator, highlighting more than 2,000 pharmacies and community health centers across the nation—particularly in the "most hard-hit and high-risk communities"—where folks can get tested and receive treatments as necessary.
Early last year, the administration launched vaccines.gov to help folks locate and make vaccination appointments; in January, it released COVIDtests.gov to order free test kits. Now, all that and more is available through the new COVID.gov website.
"The bottom line: No longer will Americans have to scour the internet to find vaccines, treatments, tests, or masks," President Biden said in a Wednesday briefing, "It's all there. [J]ust go visit COVID.gov."
Following the recent release of President Biden's National COVID-19 Preparedness Plan, the administration called on the legislative branch to provide additional funding, including $22.5 billion in immediate emergency funds.
"To date, Congress has failed to provide those funds and the country is already suffering the consequences," the presidential office said. "Protecting the American people from COVID-19 now and into the future relies on affordable and accessible tools like vaccines, treatments, tests, and high-quality masks," it continued. "Now, we need Congress to do its part and continue to fund the COVID-19 response."
