In a dystopian future where people seek bloody thrills, abandoned cities have been converted into lethal race courses. Built by the Bachman Media Network, this violent bloodsport is made to keep viewers entertained. An endless supply of clones is used to keep the races going, making for a bloody brawl at every corner. With the game recently released, IGN Store now has two new shirts available to celebrate! Enter the DeathSprint 66 gauntlet today and gear up for a bloody fight to the finish.
DeathSprint 66 comes from developer Sumo Newcastle and publisher Secret Mode, offering a brutal and bloody new multiplayer experience we thoroughly enjoyed in our hands-on preview. The game puts you into 8-player PvP races, where you face off against other players in obstacle-filled courses where a simple mistake could be lethal. Sumo Newcastle blended together both accessible racing mechanics alongside platforming-like elements to create an experience that will keep players coming back to clock better times.
Beyond multiplayer, there are plenty of single player objectives to complete across a variety of Episodes. These 3-5 stage tournaments introduce new challenges, twists, and mechanics. It's up to you to make it across the finish line before the timer hits zero, and no Episode will be a walk in the park. There are a total of nine Episodes available right now, so you can get your PvE fix plenty of times.
While you might aim to just simply win, this won't be enough to conquer the scene in DeathSprint 66. You need to entertain the audience and your sponsors to build FAME rank, which measures your attractiveness and improves your rewards. The higher your rank, the better rewards and cosmetics you can unlock for your runner. With each track offering all kinds of traps and opportunities, it's up to you to become the star of the show.
DeathSprint 66 is available now for PC via Steam.
