An Assassin's Creed spin-off is rumored to be in the works, and it may take place in Baghdad. The game will reportedly flesh out Basim, a member of the Hidden Ones introduced in Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Assassin's Creed Valhalla takes place during the Viking age in the late ninth century. After a final battle leaves Basim defeated, he's resurrected centuries later using the Staff of Hermes after leading modern-day protagonist Layla Hassan to his body. Using the staff, he takes Layla's place in the present.
