It was a relatively slow week for video game news, but an absolutely massive week for new video game releases. With Horizon, Elden Ring, and Destiny 2: The Witch Queen all out now, there's hundreds, if not thousands, of hours of new video games awaiting fans in the past few days alone. Cameron and Anthony sit down to offer some early thoughts on them in this week's episode of Game Rant Arcade.
First, though, comes the news. Call of Duty 2023 could be delayed, according to a report from Bloomberg's Jason Schreier. Next up, Street Fighter 6's announcement has been met with some backlash as fans fear that too much has changed. However, no gameplay has been shown yet, with the only inclination being a teaser trailer and a revised logo. the logo, specifically, has drawn criticism for appearing to be a stock image.
Plus, EA has reportedly blamed Covid and Halo Infinite for Battlefield 2042's failure to launch. While neither factor helped, it's difficult to place all of the blame on those outside factors, with core design issues being the real issue with the semi-futuristic entry. EA has denied the reports, but audio obtained of the meeting does indicate that it was mentioned. Also, Elon Musk wants Steam games on Tesla cars.
