The first trailer for Christopher Nolan’s new movie Oppenheimer will reportedly be shown first in theaters as it will be attached to Jordan Peele’s Nope, but when will it be released online? Christopher Nolan has earned the praise of critics and viewers over the years thanks to his peculiar narrative and visual style that has made his movies stand out, along with the themes he often addresses in them, such as memory, identity, time, and even dreams, as he did in Inception back in 2010.
As such, there’s always speculation and anticipation around Christopher Nolan’s projects, and after the critical success of Tenet, Nolan is leaving the sci-fi genre aside and focusing on biographical drama with Oppenheimer. Based on the book American Prometheus, written by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin, Oppenheimer tells the story of theoretical physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer (Cillian Murphy), the director of the Los Alamos Laboratory during the Manhattan Project, and his contributions that led to the creation of the atomic bomb. Also starring are Emily Blunt as Katherine Oppenheimer, Matt Damon as Leslie Groves, Robert Downey Jr. as Lewis Strauss, and Florence Pugh as Jean Tatlock.

Production on Oppenheimer began in February 2022 as the movie is scheduled for a July 21, 2023 release, and even though it’s still a year away, the first trailer is now ready for the world to see – but not for everyone just yet.
