WhatsApp has become a go-to platform for texting, calling and video calling. You can even call anyone using the app for free. However, you need to have an active internet connection. So, many times, we need to record the call but we keep wondering how to do it as the app does not natively support recording calls on either its mobile or desktop versions. But don’t worry, today we have brought a work-around that will help you to record WhatsApp calls on Android as well as iPhone. The instant messaging app allows users to record a call via a third party app. Here’s how you can do so.
Most of the Android phones come with an in-built voice recording app. But if your phone doesn't have one then you will have to download an app called Cube Call from Google play store. Once downloaded you will see the Cube Call widget when answering or making a WhatsApp call. It will automatically record your call. But if your phone already has an in-built voice recorder app then here’s how you can record your WhatsApp call.
Step 1: Start a WhatsApp call on your device and exit the app without disconnecting the call
Step 2: Now, open your voice recording app and hit Record.
Step 3: You’re all set. The call recording will start and once done, you can find it in your phone's storage. Make sure that your call is on speaker to get a clear audio.
Well, recording a WhatsApp call on an iPhone is tricky as there is no app that allows you to do so. However, there is a workaround for which you will need a Mac and an iPhone.
First, download the QuickTime application on your Mac and connect your iPhone to Mac.
Now, open the QuickTime application and go to the File option.
Select the New Audio Recording option>iPhone and then tap on record button in QuickTime.
