We're just days away from Apple's "Far Out" event. And although everyone is always focused on what improvements and features Apple brings to its beloved line of iPhones, plenty of other exciting products might debut, too. Here's an overview of everything we're likely to see:
Apple isn't surprising anyone here—the company is almost certain to officially unveil the iPhone 14 lineup. Will the phones support satellite connectivity, as the "Far Out" tagline implies? Will Apple launch an astrophotography mode to compete with the Pixel 6? We won't have to wait long to know for sure.
We expect four different iPhone 14 models—a 6.1-inch iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro, as well as a 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
One reputable rumor about the iPhone 14 lineup is a price increase(Opens in a new window) of between $50 and $100 across the board. In light of rising component costs, this isn't too surprising. There's also plenty of speculation that Apple will ditch the notch(Opens in a new window) in favor of a standalone selfie camera sensor on the Pro models, though the base iPhone 14 models are likely to stick with the old design. We might even see an always-on display option for some models(Opens in a new window).
Of course, it wouldn't be a iPhone event without some mention of camera improvements, and to that end, a stepped-up wide-angle lens(Opens in a new window) could be in store. We're not sure what colors Apple will launch the iPhone 14 in, but we're hopeful that there's a green model, because the iPhone 13 looked great in that particular hue.
