Co-stars Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart hilariously roast each other in a recent video for DC League of Super-Pets. The upcoming animated film, based on the DC Comics superhero team Legion of Super-Pets, is set to premiere on July 29. It follows Krypto, the canine companion of Clark Kent/Superman, who unites a group of shelter pets armed with individual powers to save the members of the Justice League after they become captured by Lex Luthor and his guinea pig Lulu. In addition to Johnson and Hart, who voice Krypto and Ace the Bat-Hound respectively, the movie's cast includes Kate McKinnon, John Krasinski, Vanessa Bayer, Natasha Lyonne, Diego Luna, Keanu Reeves, and more.
DC League of Super-Pets marks the latest on-screen collaboration between Johnson and Hart, who previously starred alongside each other in 2016's Central Intelligence, as well as the recent Jumanji films. It will also be Johnson's first of two projects based on DC property to release this year, with the highly anticipated Black Adam set to his theaters in the fall, and the actor's social media presence has become a source of promotion for both, keeping fans engaged with behind-the-scenes updates and cast videos. The two stars notoriously poke fun at each other and in March, Johnson took to Instagram to share a compilation of Kevin Hart's roasts, reminding many of the pairs' surprising, yet entertaining chemistry and, just recently, he posted a reel highlighting Super-Pets in which he included clips of their jokes.
