The main thing Geoff Keighley was doing in the lead-up to his Gamescom Opening Night Live event was tempering fan expectations rather than raising them — a rare change in approach for the host. Although, this is a video game show, so someone out there was still probably expecting to see Half-Life 3 and Bloodborne 2.
The actual announcements — for PS5, PS4 players at least — included Little Nightmares III, new trailers for Black Myth: Wukong and Crimson Desert, and release dates for Tekken 8 and Granblue Fantasy: Relink. A fresh look at the massive Cyberpunk 2077 update coming next month was also shown. For a full list of all PS5, PS4 announcements at the show, click the link.
