Activision has released a Call of Duty Warzone 2 Season 2 trailer providing a look at the game’s new map, Ashika Island.
Viewable below, it offers a brief look at some of the new battleground’s key locations and features.
Launching later this month as part of the game’s Season 2 update, Ashika Island is part of a small archipelago in an undisclosed location in the Asia Pacific region.
According to an blog post accompanying the trailer, the island may be housing noxious weaponry being shipped from a suspected biolab facility in Warzone 2’s existing map, Al Mazrah.
Points of Interest include Ōganikku Farms, Town Center, Beach Club, Tsuki Castle, Port Ashika, Residential and Shipwreck.
The map has been built for the returning Resurgence mode, a streamlined spin-off of the game’s regular battle royale with respawns enabled, and will also be an additional DMZ infiltration option.
Previously expected to launch at the start of this month, Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 will now arrive on February 15.
The new season of content will introduce fresh multiplayer maps, new game modes and weapons, and Ranked Play.
As well as general stability fixes, weapon balancing and tweaks to PC audio and UI, Season 2 will also include new features and gameplay changes, such as the return of 1v1 Gulag and end to players dropping backpacks when they die.
