Warner Bros. Discovery has revealed some surprising DC plans for this year's San Diego Comic-Con. One of the biggest events in nerd culture has and always will be San Diego Comic-Con. Each year, multiple studios and companies bring an endless amount of movies, TV shows, and more to the comic book convention. 2019 was the last time the 50-year-old event was held in-person, as the global COVID-19 pandemic happened the following year; a smaller «Comic-Con Special Edition» event was held last fall. Since 2020, SDCC has held Comic-Con at Home via virtual panels.
While the pandemic is still underway, things have gotten better thanks to COVID-19 vaccines and boosters. This year, Comic-Con International is finally bringing the San Diego-based event back. Even though San Diego Comic-Con 2022 is happening, studios are still carefully assessing what they are sending to the convention. Mask mandates and proof of vaccination will be required for every attendee, as there will be over 100,000 badge-holders going to San Diego Comic-Con. Recently, Marvel Studios' Kevin Feige confirmed that the MCU will hold one of its famous Hall H panels at the event.

However, another superhero behemoth is also heading to San Diego Comic-Con 2022 as well, as Warner Bros. and DC have rolled out their plans. Warner Bros. will have DC present at SDCC, but with a catch. For the first time in history, Warner Bros. Discovery and DC will not have their regular booths in the exhibit halls. Warner Bros. TV will bring two DC shows to the convention, one of them being the highly anticipated Netflix series The Sandman, now set to have a massive Hall H panel.
