After officially moving forward, Prime Video’s series now has its first big actor. Walton Goggins, known for his roles in and , will be leading the series in an unconfirmed role.
Deadline’s report on the casting states that while it hasn’t been revealed who he will play, it is said that he will portray a ghoul. Although there are other types of non-human ghouls, ghouls, in this context, are irradiated humans with zombie-esque features, but can retain many of their human qualities. Production is supposed to start this year, so it’s possible that more details will come out about this character and the show at large as 2022 rolls by.
takes place after a nuclear war and the television series will feature Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner as showrunners. Robertson-Dworet has writing credits on and the 2018 film, while Wagner has experience as an executive producer on , , and . Jonathan Nolan is set to direct the premiere.
The series was launched in 1997 on PC by Interplay Productions. However, its popularity ballooned in 2008 after Bethesda released for consoles and PC, which gave it an ambitious action spin similar to its fantasy games. Since then, , the multiplayer-focused, and a mobile title have been released.
