The Prime Video original series Upload has officially been renewed for season 3. The series, which was created by The Office and Parks and Recreation's Greg Daniels, takes place in the not-too-distant future. This future gives people the ability to upload their consciousnesses into a digital afterlife, which is exactly where Nathan (Robbie Amell) finds himself after mysteriously winding up dead. This upload has been paid for by his overbearing and affluent ex-girlfriend (Allegra Edwards), but her wishes are frustrated when he begins to falls in love with Nora (Andy Allo), a living woman who is a customer service representative for the afterlife. The series also stars Zainab Johnson, Kevin Bigley, Josh Banday, and Greg Daniels' son Owen Daniels.
The series originally premiered its entire 10-episode season 1 on Prime Video in May 2020. Upload was well-received, earning an 88% on Rotten Tomatoes and receiving a renewal for season 2 just one week after it was released. Unfortunately, pandemic-related production delays caused Upload season 2 to be severely delayed, and it finally dropped all 7 episodes on March 11, 2022, nearly two full years after the original season.

Per Deadline, Upload season 3 now has been given the green light from Prime Video. According to Amazon's internal statistics, the series has remained in their streaming Top 10 since its March premiere, so this renewal was a no-brainer. Although it's too soon for casting and plot details to be announced, Daniels has stated that the series will be continuing the story of Nathan and Nora throughout the next season.
