This point in the summer is usually the time when developers take a break from actually launching games to flaunt what they've got coming soon, or in some cases not so soon. That's why Sony held its latest State of Play last week, and Summer Game Fest will kick off this Thursday. Now Capcom has revealed it will be getting in on all the big reveal and presentation fun by hosting a show of its own.
A Capcom Showcase has been announced for June 13 at 6 pm ET, so this coming Monday. As for the big reveals, fans of anything Capcom might want to temper their expectations ever so slightly. In the statement announcing the Showcase, the studio made sure to clarify that the games on show will be ones that have been previously announced.

“Tune in on June 13, 3pm PT for around 35 minutes of news and in-depth updates on previously announced Capcom titles,” the reveal reads. Capcom actually played a big role in the aforementioned State of Play, and it seems likely the games shown off there will be given more screen time next week. The two Resident Evil games getting VR support, for example. Not to mention the Resident Evil 4 remake coming next year.
The other big Capcom game shown off last week was Street Fighter 6. A better look at the likes of Ryu and Chun-Li, as well as a look at the game's overworld, a first for the series. A number of other details have leaked since then, something Capcom has ackowledged. Perhaps what it planned to reveal about the game has been moved up and we will see a lot more than we thought we might of Street Fighter 6 during next week's Showcase.
