Unsolved Mysteries will return again, just in time for Halloween. The release date for Volume 3, as announced by Netflix, will be October 18 of this year. The show is a mystery documentary series that focuses on cold cases and paranormal events. It first began in 1987 and has aired off-and-on for more than three decades and on five different networks and services, including its most recent broadcaster, Netflix, as of 2020.

The news of the release date was revealed today as part of Netflix's official “Netflix and Chills” lineup for the month of October. Most of the shows were already known to be released in time for Halloween, but the news underscores how jam-packed October will be. The full Netflix and Chills lineup is as follows: September will see the release of Queen Latifah and Ludacris' crime thriller End of the Road (Sep. 9), the kidnapping mystery film Lou (Sep. 23), and the children's series Phantom Pups (Sep. 30). In the first full week of October, viewers get the Stephen King film Mr. Harrigan's Phone(Oct. 5), the Mike Flanagan series The Midnight Club (Oct. 7), and the true crime documentary series Conversations with a Killer: The Jeffrey Dahmer Tapes (Oct. 7).
