Adorable cat game Stray from BlueTwelve Studio and Annapurna Interactive has earned mostly positive reviews since its release, with many coming away impressed by the short but sweet game. Stray can be fully completed in less than 10 hours, but those on PC are able to expand their experience with mods. One of the latest Stray mods is absolutely horrifying, combining the game with Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
Modder Sirgalahad172 has created an unintentionally horrifying Stray mod that replaces the cat in the game with the character model of CJ from San Andreas. They explained that the mod is «intended as a joke» because they think that CJ needs to be «modded in any game that exists.» It contorts CJ's body to give him the same shape and movements as Stray's playable cat protagonist, and it really is disturbing.

Something to note about the Stray CJ mod is that it breaks the other cats that appear in the beginning of the game. At the start of Stray, the player cat is hanging around other cats, but those cats appear as dark blobs with the mod applied. According to the modder, this is because all the cats in the game share the same character model, and so implementing the CJ mod to change the main cat's appearance breaks them.
This is not the first bizarre mod that's been released for Stray since the game's release. Another modder managed to create a Stray mod that combines the game with Heavy Rain, Quantic Dream's narrative-driven game where player choice changes the course of the story. That mod replaces Stray's cute «meow» button with one that makes the cat yell «JASON!» like Heavy Rain's main protagonist infamously does at the beginning of that game when looking for their missing
