Rainbow Six Siege has done incredibly well for Ubisoft. The tactical multiplayer shooter is about to enter its seventh year of operation and still has quite a devoted fanbase. Its popularity was even enough to inspire Ubisoft to create Rainbow Six Extraction, an odd, co-op, alien-zombie shooter that was released last month.
So with a new season about to hit Siege, it seems like the right time to add a new Operator to the currently existing crew. Thanks to the official Rainbow Six Siege Twitter account, we've got an idea about what to expect from the newest character who's ready to knock down some walls and save some hostages.

This character will join Siege's rather impressive roster of over 60 playable Operators. Considering how successful Siege has managed to be, there will no doubt be even more Operators added later this year.
The tweet shows a yellow-gloved individual holding a decorated kunai. Now that's not a lot of info, but since they've gone through the trouble of showing off a kunai, there's a good chance that this new Operator's ability is focused on throwing and stabbing people with them. It's possible that the kunai will have a secondary function of some kind - perhaps they'll explode? Or they can detect nearby enemies? Maybe everyone just gets distracted by how cool they look? - but until this Operator is officially revealed we won't know for sure.
In addition to a new Operator and season, the Rainbow Six Siege Invitational 2022 is currently happening in Stockholm, Sweden. The playoffs are set to continue later today and the matches can be watched over on Twitch.
