Ubisoft's upcoming hero shooter XDefiant has rebranded. It's no longer "Tom Clancy's XDefiant" as Ubisoft has dropped the "Tom Clancy" in favor of just "XDefiant."
The name change appears to be quite recent as Eurogamer notes the official logo on the game's splash page doesn't look nearly as good as when there was still Tom Clancy in the front. You can compare the two versions of the site using the Internet Archive page.

Despite the name change, XDefiant still appears to feature characters and themes from throughout the Tom Clancy franchise, including Rainbow Six, The Division, and even Splinter Cell. The game was announced to a tepid reception last summer in large part due to the name but also because there are plenty of hero shooters on the market and XDefiant just seemed to be a discount Apex Legends. A faction system allowing for customizable abilities and a massive arsenal of realistic weapons are a neat touch, but they don't really make XDefiant stand out from an extremely tightly-packed crowd.
But maybe I'm wrong and Ubisoft has a real winner on its hands. If you think that's the case, you can sign up for XDefiant's "Insider Sessions" by heading to this site here. Essentially early beta testing, you'll get access to early builds of XDefiant where you can provide your feedback and help craft the game. Ubisoft warns that you'll be under an NDA after being invited to these Insider Sessions, "but rest assured, we'll be there playing with you and engaging in conversations, as we continue to work toward making XDefiant the best experience that it can be."
