Year 7 Season 1 of Rainbow Six Siege recently went live across all platforms, with a Battle Pass featuring a brand-new Operator and Team Deathmatch mode. Ubisoft teased Rainbow Six Siege's Demon Veil expansion last month, showcasing the first look at Operator Azami — a Defender most notably equipped with the tools to repair breached defenses. To the delight of many a Rainbow Six fan, the latest expansion also debuted the game's first new map in three years. Referred to as the Emerald Plains, the locale in question takes place on a large Ireland estate comprised of rolling hills and several other idyllic qualities.
Such a massive update for Rainbow Six Siege comes only months after Ubisoft deployed Rainbow Six Extraction, a new Tom Clancy-branded entry that dispenses with Siege's PvP action in favor of PvE-based content. Extraction also marks a departure for the series in that it no longer feels as grounded as its predecessors, thanks in large part to the alien enemies that players find themselves battling against. Thus, those most interested in the grounded military action will be pleased to learn that Rainbow Six Siege's 2022 roadmap will come packed with tons of fresh content.

Yesterday, March 5, Ubisoft deployed Rainbow Six Siege Year 7 Season 1. The latest seasonal content, Demon Veil, introduces Operator Azami and unlocks access to a playlist boasting the Team Deathmatch game mode. Ubisoft previously noted the Deathmatch playlist was designed as an environment for players to practice in before jumping into competitive matches.
