Twitch has quietly rolled out a new feature for Luna subscribers. Considering both platforms are owned by Amazon, that’s not all that surprising, although it is surprising how neither Twitch nor Luna seems to be making a big deal out of this novel feature.
As spotted by Vet Cloud Gaming (via 9to5Google), Twitch now sports a “play on Luna” button for games that are supported on Amazon’s game streaming platform. If you come across a Twitch stream playing a game that looks fun, you can just click the button and start playing it yourself.

You must have a Luna subscription active for the “play on Luna” button to work, naturally, and you’ll need to have the Luna app installed for the button to appear at all. Once you click the button, the Luna App will automatically launch the game that you’ve spotted.
Luna can already play Twitch streams, but this latest feature addition further ties the two platforms together. It’s also something that Google Stadia was looking to add, but never quite got around to it. Luna teased this feature soon after launching in 2020, but it looks like it took Amazon a while to work out all the bugs.
Or maybe the bugs aren’t quite entirely worked out yet. If this is a beta feature, it’d explain why Amazon hasn’t made any official announcements yet.
In other Amazon news, Amazon Games has finally added European West servers to help alleviate Lost Ark’s login queues. Although things have mostly died down elsewhere in the world, European Lost Ark players are still getting stuck in long login queues or suffering server-side lag and poor matchmaking due to overloaded servers.
