Here’s how Tuk Tuk from Raya And The Last Dragon proved that Alan Tudyk is Disney’s good luck charm. Walt Disney Animation Studios scored another hit in 2021 with fantasy adventure Raya And The Last Dragon. Co-directed by Don Hall and Carlos López Estrada, the movie tells the tale of warrior princess Raya (Kelly Marie Tran) who embarks on a quest to find a fabled dragon to banish the evil spirits that have taken over her homeland.
Raya is joined on her mission by best pal Tuk Tuk – a cute critter who is part-pill bug, part-pug and part-armadillo and acts as Raya’s main mode of transport. He’s voiced by Alan Tudyk – of SYFY series Resident Alien – who has become a Disney mainstay in recent years. In fact, voicing Tuk Tuk in Raya And The Last Dragon was Tudyk’s eighth role in a Walt Disney Animation Studio-produced movie and he added a ninth to his résumé with his role in 2021's Encanto.

Actor Alan Tudyk’s first role in a Walt Disney Animation Studios film came voicing the villainous King Candy in Wreck-It Ralph, which he followed up with a role in Frozen as the arrogant Duke of Weselton – a character he reprised for Frozen II. Tudyk next voiced tech guru Alistair Krei in Big Hero 6, conniving weasel Duke Weaselton in Zootopia and bumbling chicken Heihei in Moana. Despite his Wreck-It Ralph character dying, he still landed a role in Ralph Breaks The Internet as netizen KnowsMore. More recently there was his role as Tuk Tuk in Raya And The Last Dragon, of course, and playing Pico the toucan in Encanto. Basically, Tudyk has voiced a character in every Walt Disney Animation Studios movie since 2012.
