The Gacha system in Tower of Fantasy is based on three different types of Nucleus. Ranging from the easily-acquired Black Nucleus to the hard-to-find Red Nucleus, there is something for everyone in Tower of Fantasy. Getting Black Nucleus depends on various factors like exploring the map, solving puzzles, completing missions, and buying it from the Store using the collected Support Points.
The next Nucleus of the three is the Gold one, which players can also obtain from exploring Aida, doing bounty missions, finishing Terminal Story Rewards, completing the wanderer’s log, and buying them from the store using Dark Crystals. As for the Red Nucleus, they're nearly impossible to obtain without spending money.

To get Red Nucleus, players can either exchange it for 150 Dark Crystals or buy it through Tanium, which is a currency that can be bought with real-world money. For that, F2P players can find it difficult to obtain Red Nucleus unless they're included in some in-game rewards, such as the Side by Side 2 event that grants players 10 Red Nucleus as a “Thank You” present.
Dark Crystals are a free-to-get currency in Tower of Fantasy. Wanderers can get it through many means, like world exploration, claiming achievements, completing missions, competing in the Apex League (PVP), and finishing weekly activities. Besides all that, there are also ways to buy it with real money, like subscribing to the Daily Supply Box, which will grant wanderers up to 120 Dark Crystals every day.
