It's no secret that Creative Assembly, the studio behind the widely acclaimed Total War franchise, is working on turning Total War: Warhammer 3 into a vast, sprawling content platform that hosts almost a decade's worth of development in one campaign. The so-called «Immortal Empires» game mode will effectively combine the entire trilogy into a unified gameplay experience, and modularity is a crucial component of this project.
To that end, it was to be expected that Total War: Warhammer 3 would get a whole library of extensive post-launch DLC to support Immortal Empires for years to come. Now, however, it looks like Creative Assembly may have just given its player base a first look at what some of this DLC might be as part of its recent developer Q&A live stream.
Total War: Warhammer 3 Immortal Empires Expansion Gets Release Date
Viewers spotted the four previously unannounced factions at 9:55 of the 16-minute video, and it seems like the focus seems to fall squarely on Total War: Warhammer 3's Chaos deities for now. The factions in question are Puppets of Misrule, Legion of the Gorequeen, The Ecstatic Legions, and the Fecundites, and precious little is known about them other than their titles and allegiances. Of course, one can assume that the Puppets of Misrule would fall under the rule of Tzeentch, but there's no telling yet who their leaders might be.
Further still, it's also worth pointing out that Creative Assembly hasn't yet outright confirmed that these would be DLC factions. The community is reasonably sure of this, but it is recommended that fans keep a pinch of salt at hand about their implementation and specifics until the developers themselves push an official announcement.
