Many players would go long distances to get good parses, but would you tailor an entire raid for that? Chinese player 阿拉伯二舅子 from the guild 秩序七煌 went that far. During the last lockout of 2021, this guild organized a raid with the intent of providing 阿拉伯二舅子, a Shadow Priest, with the best chances of getting good parses on every fight in Mythic Sanctum of Domination. During the raid, this Shadow Priest received the following external buffs from fellow raid members, sometimes even to their detriment. To put into perspective, during the Mythic Sylvanas encounter, this player received 79 different external buffs.
Conqueror's Banner from one Warrior Benevolent Faerie from 4 different Priests, for a total of almost 86% uptime on Benevolent Faerie reaching a total of 62% uptime on Voidform across all encountersKindred Affinity and Kindred Empowerment from DruidPower Infusion from other 4 Priests, which gets to 90% uptime across all encountersFocus Magic from Mage (for three encounters)Blessing of Summer, Blessing of Autumn, and from three Paladin While having this many external buffs doesn't guarantee good parses, it surely makes it way easier, especially having around 90% uptime on buffs like Power Infusion. For results, all these buffs put this Shadow Priest far ahead of other competitors, being over 6k DPS ahead the second best Shadow Priest on Soulrender Dormazain and 44k DPS ahead the second best on Tarragrue, when they received even more external buffs. This difference is low on some fights, for instance their rank 1 parse for Eye of the Jailer is only 1.8k DPS ahead the second best, which had no external buffs, versus the 30 received by 阿拉伯二舅子.
