A new is available to solve and today's answer isn't the most common word, but probably won't cause too much trouble for most players. Despite its uncommon nature the letters themselves are very common so almost any decent starting word will lock in a few letters for the next attempts.
There are many strategies that players can use and one of the most important is a strong starting word. If you use the same word every day your brain will start to learn how to move forward based on the hints given. Using a starting word that has a lot of vowels in it is also of importance, words like AUDIO or IRATE can give you a great start to your day.

The January 22nd answer is TWEAK.
For our starting word today we used the aforementioned IRATE. This provided three letters that were all in the wrong position, including the two very important vowels. Mixing them around a bit we tried TAPER as our second guess locking in the 'T' and providing a few more incorrect places for the two vowels.
Our third guess was TEXAS which locked in the 'A' and left only one possible location for the 'E'. Our fourth and final guess scored us a win-in-four with the correct answer, TWEAK.
