Thursday, May 16 took us down a dark path and we ended up losing in today's game. Luckily, we can now share the categories and word groupings to save you from the same tragedy that befell us. It's not that today's answers were very difficult, we just got hung up on a few incorrect guesses.
One of the main factors in our loss today was that we were in too much of a hurry. Taking your time with a game of is important as you need to make sure you've got the right collection of words before hitting submit. Perhaps if we had just slowed down this loss could have been avoided.
Four categories with four words each sounds simple, but the daily challenge of the Connections game can prove difficult without a few tips to help.
Before jumping directly into today's answers, we wanted to provide the categories for the day. Sometimes, just knowing what is expected can help out immensely.

STILL
The only category we scored today was the blue one, I don't think we ever had a chance with yellow as these words didn't really come up in our confusion. PIC and SNAP should have been the obvious starters here, but alas, you can't win them all.
My office chair is currently lowering, I may need to get a new pneumatic cylinder. This has nothing to do with today's Connections, but it's happening at this moment so I thought I would share. I've been using this E-WIN Flash XL Size Series Gaming Chair for over a year now, they are a fantastic company.

SECURE
SECURE and LOCK were absolutely our downfall in today's game. We spent almost every guess trying to make this incorrect connection work. SECURE, LOCK, CINCH, SECURITY, & SHOT. Looking back now, it's obviously incorrect, but at the time we insisted there was something there. Technically there was something, just not the something we were attempting.
