While it has yet to be officially announced, the next game (which was codenamed ) has already been the subject of a few leaks and reports. The newest leak has now gone a bit further and revealed that it will be called and reiterated that it will take the series back to basics.
This most recent drop came from French YouTuber j0nathan and was translated by Rebs Gaming on Twitter. The long list has many details, but it appears as only some of them are accurate. Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier, who has had multiple reports on this game (and the series in general), chimed in and said that the title is accurate along with the other details he has previously confirmed: a spring 2023 release window, its Baghdad setting, and its return to basics. He said some parts were not accurate, like the part about it having multiple cities to explore. Insider Jeff Grubb also put in his two cents, saying that he had also heard it was called .

Given how Schreier didn’t corroborate every single thing on the list, it’s difficult to tell what parts are true and what parts aren’t. Singling out the “back to basics” part implies that it is taking inspiration from the first entry, but it is unclear if that also means it won’t have as many RPG mechanics.
