Upon release, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands was a big hit with fans of the Borderlands franchise. Since then, though, the Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands community has been quick to voice its disappointment with the game. While the campaign is strong, and the Chaos Chamber is a solid endgame mode, the lack of new story DLC has proven to be a massive negative in the eyes of fans.
While a second Season Pass for Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands could solve this issue by adding in some proper expansions, this content would take a lot of time to craft. As such, Gearbox needs to deliver something a lot quicker, and Borderlands 3 could be the perfect source of inspiration. In particular, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands could benefit from the release of some community challenges and special events.
Borderlands 4 May Not Feature an Overworld, but It Can Learn Something From It
Borderlands 3’s post-launch support received a lot of praise, and for good reason. Alongside some stellar paid expansions like Mad Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot, players received free content like Takedowns to keep them engaged. Major updates to Mayhem Mode were released, too, though it is the seasonal events and community challenges that were arguably the most beneficial.
Community challenges would take the least amount of effort to add to Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands right now, yet they would still give gamers a reason to play. These objectives tasked all players with contributing to a goal, such as completing 30,000 Proving Grounds Trials. Once the community completed the challenge, they would get access to a special Shift code that unlocked a unique head for their Vault Hunters. Usually, these cosmetics were themed around the challenge.
