Samsung's Galaxy S22 Ultra includes an S Pen packed with valuable features. It is a stylus accessory that used to come with the Note series of devices. However, recently Samsung has confirmed that the Note series is killed and replaced by the newly launched Galaxy S22 Ultra, making it the first device of the S Series to come with S Pen functionality. In addition, Samsung has also reduced the latency to 2.8ms, making writing notes happen in almost real-time.
Last year's S21 Ultra was compatible with the S Pen. However, there was no slot for the accessory. The successor comes with an S Pen hidden in the phone's body. Besides drawing, writing and translating, the pen also offers features that improve productivity and efficiency, including Air View, Smart Select and Air Actions.

Smart Select is a feature that can take selective or partial screenshots. To use this feature, simply remove the S Pen or tap on the Stylus Button present on the screen to bring up a shortcut menu. Then, go to Smart Select,which allows the user to drag and draw any shape on the screen to capture that part. It is one of the simplest ways to take a screenshot, rather than capturing the entire screen and cropping it later in the gallery. Users can also create a GIF, which records animations in the selected part.
Air View is one of the key features of the S Pen that lets the user quickly interact with images, links and videos without opening them. The S Pen's pointer appears when it is close to the screen and can be used to select content or specific areas on the display.
